Minnesota Governor Wants To Spend Budget Surplus On Universal Pre-K


Statistics show that 85% of brain functions are developed before the age of 5, making pre-kindergarten education the most crucial determinant of a child’s developing brain. A universal Pre-K program is an encouraging first step for minority children who are at the highest risk of having limited pre-kindergarten intellectual stimulation. Kudos to Governor Dayton for this bold step.
